Parents, teachers, therapists, or direct care staff members can serve as "guides" when the children play The Journey. Guides provide the training, encouragement, and coaching necessary to successfully play The Journey Game.


"Sherwood"

The Journey is a fantasy or a fairy tale with nine chapters that correspond to the nine adventures of The Journey Game.
The Journey is helpful to parents, teachers, or direct care staff in that power struggles between children and authority figures can be reframed and redirected to the problems a child is having meeting the challenges of the game.


In other words, a child's problems are the results of his or her choices and their difficulty following the rules of the game.
